Deliver Microsoft Fabric / Databricks / Snowflake capabilities

Hands-on delivery across the leading modern data platforms, on one platform or several.

Overview

How Ribuix can help

Ribuix delivers working data capabilities on Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Snowflake: ingestion and orchestration, transformation, lakehouse and warehouse models, semantic layers and reporting. Where organisations run more than one platform, we design how they work together, using open formats, shared storage and a single governed view for consumption, so teams are not forced into a one-platform decision.

The challenge

Data sits across applications, databases and several platforms. Teams rebuild the same extracts by hand, platform choices are made in isolation, and reporting is late or inconsistent. Running two platforms without a clear design doubles cost and governance effort.

Our approach

We match each workload to the platform that suits it, and connect platforms through open table formats, shortcuts and mirroring rather than copies. Delivery is incremental: reliable pipelines first, then trusted models, then reporting people can use.

What we offer

Capabilities

01

Data source connectivity and ingestion

Secure, monitored connections to databases, applications, files, APIs and third-party platforms, batch and near real-time.

02

Pipelines and orchestration

Fabric Data Factory, Databricks workflows and Snowflake tasks built with dependencies, retries and alerting handled properly.

03

Lakehouse and warehouse engineering

Transformation logic and Delta or Iceberg tables structured in bronze, silver and gold layers for analytics and AI.

04

Cross-platform interoperability

Databricks Unity Catalog and Snowflake data surfaced in Fabric through OneLake shortcuts, mirroring and Iceberg, without duplicating data needlessly.

05

Power BI semantic models and reporting

Governed semantic models and Direct Lake reports on top of lakehouse and warehouse layers, with enterprise reporting standards.

06

Platform selection and optimisation

Guidance on which workload belongs where, plus performance and cost tuning across platforms.

The Ribuix practice

Where this fits in our wider work

01

Connecting fragmented silos

Resolves data fragmentation across disparate systems, including APIs, partners, on-premises databases and real-time streams.

02

Consistent metrics

Defines measures once in a shared semantic layer, supporting executive scorecards and self-service analytics for business teams.

03

Right tool for the workload

Fabric tends to suit Power BI-led, SQL-centred analytics; Databricks suits heavy engineering, Spark and machine learning; Snowflake suits SQL warehousing and data sharing. We help you combine them sensibly.

How we work

From first conversation to handover

    1

    Map

Catalogue sources, owners, volumes and refresh needs; decide which platform each workload belongs on.

    2

    Design

Define ingestion patterns, layers, interoperability and semantic model design.

    3

    Build and test

Implement pipelines, models and reports with validation checks against real data.

    4

    Operate

Set up monitoring and alerting, and tune performance and cost as volumes grow.

Typical deliverables

  • Source-to-target mapping
  • Ingestion and orchestration pipelines
  • Lakehouse and warehouse models
  • Cross-platform integration design
  • Certified semantic models and dashboards
  • Run-books and documentation

FAQs

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Get in touch or email admin@ribuix.com.

Do we have to pick one of Fabric, Databricks or Snowflake?

No. Many organisations use more than one. We design the boundaries and connections so each platform does what it does best.

Can Snowflake or Databricks data be used in Fabric and Power BI?

Yes. Depending on the case, it can be read in place through OneLake shortcuts, exposed as Iceberg, or mirrored into OneLake. We recommend the pattern that fits your performance, cost and ownership needs.

Can you improve our existing Power BI reports?

Yes. We regularly review and rework models and reports for performance, clarity and consistency.
